Who we are
Daniel Fake
Daniel is a North Shore-based physiotherapist with a broad background across a range of settings, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic or overuse conditions.
He has worked with sports teams from grassroots through to international level, taking opportunities to travel the world as a team physiotherapist. Early in his career, he also worked on-site as a school physiotherapist.
Daniel has experience working with a wide range of age groups — from children and young adults with growth-related issues, to older adults aiming to restore or maintain function.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from AUT in 2017, following a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science from Massey University in Palmerston North.
In his youth, Daniel represented New Zealand in high jump, long jump, and triple jump. These days, he keeps active through basketball, boxing and triathlon, maintaining a strong connection to his work as a physiotherapist.
Saskia Fake
I’m a qualified physiotherapist with a passion for helping both people and animals move and feel their best.
I graduated from AUT in 2016 and later completed a postgraduate and master’s degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. I also offer dry needling as part of my treatment toolkit.
I’ve worked across private practice, sports teams, schools, and now in a veterinary hospital, helping animals recover from injury and surgery. My approach focuses on getting to the root of the issue — especially muscle imbalances and biomechanics — to support long-term recovery and performance.
Outside of physio, I’m a new mum, yoga lover, and always on the hunt for great coffee.
